Аnnotation
The present article is devoted to the study of the history of the concept of sustainable development, which consists of three pillars: economic, social and environmental. On the basis of literary sources analysis, which identified the founders and the authors of the concept, developed the final documents constituting each stage of sustainable development and its basic characteristics.
