The article carried out a feasibility study on the use of secondary raw materials in agriculture as organic fertilizers to increase soil fertility and the production of organic products. The paper notes that the lack of humus violates the structure of the soil, causes irreparable damage to its natural fertility. Over the past decades, land degradation has become a serious problem, the amount of suitable land per capita has sharply decreased, and the area of desertification has increased by 1.5 times. The issues of the use of secondary raw materials in agriculture, taking into account the economic characteristics of the region. Methods for calculating the economic efficiency of waste utilization are considered, the economic efficiency of compost production from secondary raw materials are considered. It was concluded that in agriculture of the Sogd region it is necessary to develop measures to preserve and improve soil fertility by applying organic fertilizers, since the level of soil fertility is deteriorating, and fertilizer is required to restore the original soil quality.
