The article discusses the importance of the economical use of raw materials and materials at light industry enterprises in Tajikistan in the face of shortages and rising prices for raw materials. It has been established that the more raw materials and materials are used in the production of products, the higher the growth rate of waste, which begins to prevail over the growth of manufactured products. An analysis was made of the reasons for this situation at light industry enterprises in Tajikistan, it was revealed that such factors are disproportionately high growth of waste relative to the increase in production volumes; the use of equipment, the technical characteristics of which do not meet the requirements of modern production technology, as well as the use of low-quality materials. Replacing equipment with a more modern and low-cost one will reduce the share of waste in the total production volume. Calculations showed that the introduction of SShMS and UTS-1 technologies is most beneficial for the enterprise, since they provide high-quality processing and are suitable for almost any fabric and knitted fabrics made from natural or chemical fibers, as well as from their mixtures. The machines are distinguished by a high degree of mechanization and automation of the control of drying and stabilization processes using computers and microprocessor technology. The rationale for the effectiveness of the introduction of advanced equipment was carried out according to the method of comparative economic efficiency, using According to the assessment, additional costs for the purchase of advanced equipment pay off in less than a year, and the replacement of equipment can have a significant impact on the efficiency of the enterprise.
