The article deals with the use of water resources in the Central Asian region on the basis of regional integration programs. It is noted that the implementation of large water projects in the countries of the Central Asian region is the main prerequisite for the development of integration cooperation between the countries of the region. It is emphasized that from the degree of implementation of large profitable economic projects, integration processes in the region will accelerate. Therefore, the implementation of major projects is becoming an important and necessary condition for the development of multilateral relations. The countries of the region are faced with the question of whether it is worth uniting (integrating) or independently implementing large projects. The author believes that each country in the region will inevitably face the problem of choice: to implement projects with neighboring countries or to attract funds from international organizations. At the same time, the development of integration processes and regional integration has great prospects for solving problems that arise before the economies of the countries of the Central Asian region. The author comes to the conclusion that the current state of the economy of the countries of the Central Asian region requires the creation of a clear interaction mechanism that will ensure the implementation of multilateral agreements and a sustainable system for managing integration processes in the implementation and implementation of major economic projects. Based on this, it is necessary to base interstate agreements on the unity of economic development strategies, taking into account the interests of all CAR countries.
