Annotation
It is discussed that for the effective functioning of national economies through integration into the global economic system, along with national factors, it is necessary to take into account the influence of world economic phenomena. In the context of the strengthening of globalization processes, the latter should act as a priority component of the formation of a macroeconomic policy for the country’s sustainable development. On the basis of a systematic approach, the classification of the category “international economic cooperation” was carried out and its author’s interpretation was proposed as a process of coordinating actions and joining efforts of the subjects of the world economy to solve complex socio-economic problems of its development, which, unlike the existing ones, is a priority considers mutual economic interest and the receipt of economic benefits of the subjects of international economic cooperation participating in this process: states, administrative-territorial entities of states, legal entities and individuals.
It has been proven that the process of de-globalization is currently being observed, i.e. reducing the interdependence and mutual influence of the subjects involved in the process of international economic cooperation. The latter determines the downward trend in world production, international trade and investment. The necessity of carrying out transformations is substantiated, which will allow to strengthen economic interaction between individual states through the consistent reduction of barriers in bilateral relations, development and deepening of regional integration processes.
