Annotation
The paper considers the benefits of economic integration within the CIS due to a more efficient allocation of resources within a larger market, increased competition and innovations that stimulate growth, simplification of the rules of economic activity and the costs associated with integration: increased unemployment, loss of specific business opportunities associated with entering the markets of “far abroad” countries, loss of some of the sovereignty. There was also a classification of factors and conditions of economic integration of countries, among which we can highlight the use of previously created production potential; guaranteed mutual access to raw materials sources; coordinated and economically mutually beneficial use of transport infrastructure; development of the internal market of the post-Soviet space for the sake of mutual supplies of goods; provision of joint breakthroughs to the world market with some types of high-tech products on the basis of coordinated use.
