Annotation
The article analyzes the causes of switching overvoltages on power lines, the effect of overvoltage on the state of electrical installations, establishes the causes of switching overvoltages, considers the characteristics of overhead power lines of the Sogdian Electric Power System, shows the number of overhead and cable power lines of various voltage classes, the number of transformer substations included in composition of the electric power system of the Sughd region. The operating modes of the power supply system elements during the winter period have been determined, the consequences of switching overvoltages and their causes have been revealed, the schemes of replacement of 110 kV overhead power lines with switching overvoltages and disconnection of overhead power lines have been considered, the measures to reduce the number of switching operations of the power supply system elements have been proposed, as well as the ways to optimize the power supply systems taking into account the loading capacity of the elements.
