Annotation

The article examines the impact of structural shifts in the country’s electric power complex on the economic growth of the republic. Analyzed the structure of electricity consumption by economic sectors, the republic’s electrical balance, shifts in the use of electrical power, calculated structural shifts in the production of GDP and their relationship with the country’s electrical balance. Assessment of the dynamics of the structure of industrial production shows an increase in the share of production and distribution of electricity, water, gas and heat. Calculation of the linear coefficient of structural differences in the aggregate structure of the country’s industry shows a decrease in the share of the manufacturing industry, an increase in the share of the extractive industry and the production and distribution of electricity, water, gas and heat. At the same time, there is a tendency to reduce the share of hydroelectric power plants in the production of electricity. It has been proved that the electric power complex is of key importance and influence on the development of the main sectors of the country’s economy and thus has an important impact on the economic development and growth of the republic. An assessment of structural shifts in the country’s electric power complex has been carried out, which shows the diversification of electricity sources, through the development of not only hydroelectric power plants, but also thermal power plants, which can provide electricity to the population in winter.
