INCREASING THE EFFICIENCY OF ENTERPRISES IN THE REGION BASED ON STRATEGIC PROJECT AND PORTFOLIO ANALYSIS

Annotation

 

  The article considers the essence and importance of portfolio strategic analysis based on strategic business units, their justification criteria, such as the relative share of markets and their attractiveness depending on the life cycle of the industry. The project-portfolio approach to justification of sources of financing of strategic units is applied. On the example of an industrial enterprise of the Sughd region for the production of milling products, portfolio analysis was carried out and project-portfolio relation were established. The effectiveness of the investment project is calculated on the basis of discounting net income, the index of profitability, the efficiency of investment and payback of the project. It was found that the enterprise fleet product has a good production and sale dynamics, since its sales over the past few years relative to competitors above 3 times. That is, it has a significant competitive advantage and the demand for the product is very high from the main buyers. In this case a strategic decision was made to create a strategic business unit based on flour and wheat bran. In this case the profit from bran sales can serve as a source of investment for the expansion of flour production and the transition to the success quadrant, which will significantly increase the income of the enterprise. It is proved that the efficiency of functioning of the enterprise when using the development strategy based on the project-portfolio approach increases.
