An objective assessment of the innovative potential is a necessary step in the effective management of the innovative activity of an enterprise, as one of the main ways to ensure its profitability, high rates of development and competitiveness. In this regard, the article considers the innovative potential as a special source of growth of innovative activity that allows the development of both a separate economic entity and the entire system as a whole. The innovative potential of an enterprise is a set of enterprise characteristics that determine the company’s ability to carry out activities to create and practically use innovations, and effectively involve new technologies in economic circulation. The innovative potential of an enterprise in modern conditions should be understood as its maximum ability to generate high innovative activity, which manifests itself in the effective provision of new and future technologies. Hence, it is proposed to assess the innovative potential for the adequacy of the enterprise’s financial and economic resources to effectively ensure not only strategic innovation, but also current production activities. The calculations showed that the integral value of the innovative potential of the enterprise is 3.05. This indicates a low level of innovative potential of the enterprise for the production of furniture. A low level of assessment was found in such elements of innovative potential as human resources, financial potential, as well as production and technological potential. The article also identifies the problems of the innovative potential of the analyzed enterprise.
