METHODICAL APPROACHES TO ASSESSING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION ENTERPRISES IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Abstract
This article is devoted to the study and comparison of existing approaches to assessing the level of competitiveness of enterprises. Based on the analysis of literary sources and scientific works, of the authors, approaches to assessing level of competitiveness of enterprises from a substantive aspect, i.e., from the point of view of sources of competitiveness, including product, matrix, operational, combined, cost, and dynamic approaches. The advantages and disadvantages of these approaches have been analysed, on the basis of which the dynamic approach to assessing the competitiveness of the enterprise has been chosen, the advantages of which are the possibility of analysing the activity of the enterprise in statics and in dynamics, the simplicity of using the methodology, the availability of necessary information based on public reporting, which significantly increases the practical significance of the method. In addition, the advantages of the dynamic method include its versatility, when depending on the objectives of the analysis and available data it is possible to form any volume and composition of competing enterprises. The assessment of competitiveness of the public joint-stock company PJSC ‘Vimpel-Communications’ (Beeline) in comparison with the competitor - PJSC ‘Mobile TeleSystems’ (MTS) in dynamics, in particular through the calculation of the coefficients of operational efficiency, strategic positioning and financial condition of the enterprise, which allows to determine its competitive status.
