THE EXPANSION OF AREAS OF ECONOMIC INTERACTION BETWEEN THE REGIONS OF TAJIKISTAN AND UZBEKISTAN

The article examines the process of expanding the spheres of economic interaction between two neighboring regions: Uzbekistan and Sughd region of the Republic of Tajikistan. An analysis of the dynamics of economic development of the Sughd region was carried out. The role of investment in the integration of the economy into the world community is considered. Measures to improve the investment climate have been outlined, along with an analysis of the dynamics and directions of foreign investment in Sughd Region. Examples of investment projects implemented with the participation of external partners are provided, with particular emphasis on relations with the Republic of Uzbekistan. The dynamics of trade turnover between neighboring countries, participation in joint investment projects, and promising areas for further cooperation have been examined. The export nomenclature of Tajikistan to Uzbekistan has been analyzed, focusing on the utilization of Tajikistan's export potential in the neighboring country’s market. Additionally, areas of unrealized export potential in Tajikistan’s relations with Uzbekistan have been studied, with recommendations for enhancing export diversification. It has been revealed how increasing export diversification will impact the sustainable development of the country and how the initiated process of economic complementarity will stimulate the growth of trade and economic cooperation, ensure stable socio-economic development, and improve the well-being of both countries.
