ANALYSIS OF KEY INDICATORS OF HUMAN POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE REGION

The article presents a comprehensive analysis of key indicators of human development in Sughd region of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period 2020-2024. The demographic situation, the dynamics of the gross regional product, the structure of the labor market, the state of healthcare and the system of professional and higher education are considered. The dynamics of the gross regional product of Sughd region demonstrates steady economic growth, which is a reflection of the expansion of the region's production potential and the active use of human capital. Further, in accordance with the logic of the study, a joint analysis of the region's economic growth and human potential quality was conducted, and it was concluded that the trends in the development of the region's human potential and gross regional product coincide. The analysis identified existing problems, such as the gap between the training of specialists and the needs of the labour market, the uneven distribution of personnel and hidden unemployment. Promising areas of human potential development have been identified: adaptation of educational programs, development of professional training, support for entrepreneurship, investments in social infrastructure, as well as increased state and international participation in the implementation of sustainable development strategies. The results obtained allow us to conclude the importance of an integrated approach to human development in order to ensure socioeconomic sustainability and competitiveness of Sughd region.
