Аnnotation

 

  The review of water resources of the Republic of Tajikistan and the world as a whole is done. Data on sources of water for irrigated lands is presented, detailed information on the formation of surface runoff in the Aral Sea basin is provided. The analysis of the applied irrigation methods in the old irrigated zones of Central Asia is carried out. The author gives recommendations on the technique of watering cotton, depending on the degree of stony soil. Proposals for the introduction of effective irrigation methods are presented.
