Annotation
The article considered the theoretical and methodological provisions of the formation and development of strategic factors for the sustainable development of the region.
Methodical approaches to determining the essence of strategic factors and their significance for ensuring sustainable development of the regional economy through the division into components are developed: internal factors, external integrated factors reflecting the formation and development of foreign economic relations of the region and international factors. In its turn, the economic component of the sustainable development of the regional economy is proposed to be considered through sustainable economic growth and resistance to external strategic factors. The mechanism of influence of foreign economic relations on the sustainable development of the regional economy through the indicators of the region’s foreign trade is revealed. A multifactorial economic-mathematical model of sustainable development of the regional economy was built depending on external strategic factors applicable to the Sughd region of the Republic of Tajikistan. It is proved that the influence of external strategic factors on the sustainable development of the regional economy as a whole is positive and statistically significant. However, the achieved level of development of foreign economic relations of the Sogd oblast of the Republic of Tatarstan does not yet meet the requirements of the sustainable development of the regional economy, since it causes a strong dependence of the regional economy on foreign supplies of goods and financial resources.
