Annotation
The article describes models for assessing the role of universities in the economic development of a region. The methodology and structure of assessing the role of universities in the economy, taking into account the specifics of regional economic development, are presented. The proposed method consists of three sections: informational, analytical and summary, and in the process of its application it is necessary to determine the level of assessment of the role of universities in the economy of the region and the ranking of selected indicators by its level, as well as by scale. Using this method allows you to determine the impact of higher education institutions on the development of the region’s economy in the modern era and to determine the prospects for the region’s economic development.
