STUDY OF TRANSIENT PROCESSES IN POWERFUL ELECTRIC DRIVES USING COMPUTER MODELING

Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of transient processes in electric drives of pumping stations taking into account the power supply system, using the computer modeling method. The computer modeling method has a number of inherent advantages and characteristics that make it a sensible choice for research. Using this method, a computer model of a powerful electric drive has been developed to study transient processes during the direct start-up of high-power electric motors. The modeling process was carried out with the analysis of parts of the electric drive, the power supply system of the pumping station and the calculation of their parameters. The scientific novelty of the work can be attributed to the application of the computer modeling method in the study of transient modes in the electric drive, and the development of its computer model. A distinctive feature of the developed model is the possibility of a joint study of transient processes of the electric drive and the power supply system. The model can be used to study the main parameters of the electric drive, such as speed, electromagnetic torque and electric current of the windings of the synchronous motor. The results obtained make it possible to analyze in detail the processes occurring in transient modes of the electric drive, and taking this into account, the necessary measures are taken to eliminate the negative consequences of transient modes.
