Consequently, their design optimization process becomes more and more complex as more areas and constraints are involved such as electromagnetism, strength analysis, and thermal problems. The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of methods for optimizing the design of electrical machines, including methods and models for design analysis, optimization models, algorithms and strategies.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Key words&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>&nbsp;
