\u00a0The analysis of methodological approaches to assess the level of innovation in the region based on the definition of the region’s innovation index, rating methods for evaluating innovation development and integral methods for evaluating the development of innovations is performed. Their advantages and disadvantages, distinctive features, the possibility of their application in the conditions of the region are found. Based on the analysis a method for assessing the level of innovation development corresponding to the objectives of the study was selected, substantiated and adapted.<\/em><\/p>\n
