 <\/p>\n

\u00a0The article presents the study results of the \u201csustainable development\u201d concept essence and the determination of conditions for ensuring the life quality of the population showing their interconnection. Three components of sustainable development are evaluated. Particular emphasis is placed on the balance of environmental protection and rational environmental management taking into account the interests of two generations, as well as the need to study issues of commonality and differences in the sustainable development of the country and regions. It is noted that at the stage of economy\u2019s transformation the standard of living of the majority of the population has significantly decreased as a result of a systemic crisis. Have been analyzed the volume and quality of food consumed and services provided, revealed a steady trend of reducing the share of food expenditures in total consumer spending of families. The special role of the state in meeting the needs of the population taking into account environmental safety in supporting actors operating in the social sphere and participating in building the infrastructure of the services market at the expense of the budget is noted.<\/em><\/p>\n
