\u00a0The article substantiates the need to develop a long-term growth model based on strategic planning taking into account competitive human potential in the context of sustainable development of the economy of Sughd region. To select a socially-oriented development path, a matrix for assessing the socio-economic development of the region\u2019s economy is presented. Also, in order to determine a possible strategy for the development of the economy, the criteria for choosing this strategy are determined. The problems and shortcomings of the development of practical recommendations for the preparation of strategic documents related to the need to use diverse and integrated approaches in managing long-term processes, choosing a methodology for studying strategic problems and making optimal managerial decisions are identified. The necessity of strengthening the role of the state in the development of human potential to ensure the sustainable development of the regional economy is substantiated.<\/em><\/p>\n
