This article discusses the problem of reducing voltage losses in transmission lines, as well as the effect of excess voltage on equipment operation, voltage drop and the value of active and reactive power at the end of the transmission line during one night. The methods of stabilizing voltage losses in the supply networks by installing compensation structures are shown and comparisons of voltage losses before and after compensation are given. In order to analyze the processes taking place in the transmission line, a model of the overhead transmission line in the Matlab environment has been developed. The program contains ready-made models of various equipment such as transformers, electrical machines, electrical circuit elements, electrical measuring instruments, current and voltage sources. With SimPowerSystems you can process complex electric power system models, conduct research and conduct experiments. The simulation result is shown as voltage fluctuations at the beginning and the end of the power line, the model under consideration represents the transient process when the power line is connected to the source.
