The article discusses measures to reduce electricity losses in urban distribution networks. Reducing electricity losses in distribution networks is an urgent issue for all areas with electricity shortages, including the city of Khujand. Due to the increase in electricity consumers, electricity losses in the 6-10 kV distribution network of the left bank part of Khujand are high in this area. It has been established that the 6 kV distribution network accounts for 80% and the 10 kV network accounts for 20%, therefore reducing electricity losses in this area is an urgent and timely issue. Measures are presented to reduce electricity losses and the economic efficiency of implementing measures. The paper uses computational methods to determine electrical loads, to analyze the regional power supply system and develop a new distribution scheme, a comparative method, as well as to determine the economic efficiency of implementing measures to reduce the level of electricity losses in urban electric networks, a feasibility study method. The authors conclude that distribution networks of various voltage classes are operated on the left bank of Khujand. The calculation of the economic efficiency from the introduction of an improved distribution network is 121.5 thousand somoni per year. The implementation of measures to reduce electricity losses in practice provides high economic efficiency in the operation of the power supply system.
