Abstract

The article discusses the scientific basis for assessing the innovative activity of an enterprise. The concept of “innovation”, “innovative activity”, as well as a system of indicators for assessing the innovative activity of an enterprise are generalized. The author tried to review in an overview form the system of indicators for assessing the innovative activity of an enterprise from simple to complex, clear and covering all aspects of this activity. The analysis of indicators for assessing the innovative activity of an enterprise is carried out using the example of one of the leading food industry enterprises. An approach to the development of the use of indicators for assessing the innovative activity of an enterprise is shown, from one indicator - profit to a complex and integrated one, which will improve the method for assessing the innovative activity of an enterprise. It is noted that the use of the profit indicator characterizes the purely economic side of the innovative activity of the enterprise. A set of indicators characterize the organization’s innovative activities more broadly. And the integrated indicator makes it possible to evaluate the innovative activity of an enterprise taking into account the human factor - the qualifications of personnel involved in innovation, as well as the attitude of consumers of new products produced by the enterprise. The author concludes that the use of a system of indicators will allow the enterprise to evaluate its innovative activities more broadly and deeply, which will allow the enterprise to make more optimal management decisions for the further development of innovative activities.
