ASSESSMENT OF CONTACT CONNECTIONS OF ELECTRICAL DEVICES BY INDICATORS OF THERMAL CONDITION
Authors
Abstract
The assessment of the condition of the contact connections of low-voltage switching devices is used to monitor the technical condition of electrical equipment, which improves operational efficiency. The purpose of the work is the timely detection of defects in contacts and contact connections of low-voltage switching devices to prevent emergencies. The analysis of the contact heating temperatures depends on the material and type of contact connections. Criteria for assessing the state of contacts of switching devices using indicators of their condition are defined. Optimal values of the load coefficients of circuit breakers and contactors have been obtained. Emergency situations at an industrial facility are shown, which prove the need to use indicators and thermal imaging as one of the automation tools for monitoring the technical condition of low-voltage electrical equipment. The proposed contactless method for assessing and monitoring the technical condition of electrical equipment, contacts and contact connections of devices in real time using indicators and thermal imaging monitoring allows both to receive real-time data and to increase the maintenance periods for power equipment and increase the reliability of the entire system as a whole.
