ASSESSMENT OF DEVELOPMENT AND PROBLEMS OF THE ELECTRICITY MARKET IN THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN

Annotation

 

 The article analyzes the theoretical and practical prerequisites for the development of the electricity market in the Republic of Tajikistan. It is noted that Tajikistan, like other countries of the world, considers the issue of rapid development of all sectors of the economy, including the sustainable development of energy, as one of the promising areas for the development of the national economy. However, the energy problems that arose during the years of independence have not yet been fully resolved. They require considerable attention and are the area of special attention of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. The ways of overcoming the existing problems in the electricity market of the Republic of Tajikistan are proposed. Among the main ones are the following: reconstruction of existing and construction of new HPSs; increasing the possibility of the state budget at the expense of the fuel and energy complex based on the realization of the export potential of domestic electricity and the possibility of the CASA-1000 project; increasing the solvency of the population and large industrial consumers; creation of an independent body for the development of tariff policy; improving the culture of using electricity by individuals and legal entities; energy management efficiency; increasing the energy potential of the country, including the use of green energy, including solar, wind, bioenergy, as well as other renewable energy sources.
