FOUNDER OF THE JOURNAL
The founder of the journal is the Polytechnic Institute of the Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S. Osimi. The Polytechnic Institute was established in 2010 by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated February 12, 2010 No. 58. The Institute was formed as a result of the merger of two educational institutions – a branch of the Tajik Technical University named after academician M.S. Osimi and the Khujand branch of the Technological University of Tajikistan.
Currently, the university has four faculties: Engineering and Economics, Informatics and Energy, Engineering and Technology, Construction and Transport. The educational process at the institute is carried out by 13 departments, which employ more than 140 teachers, of which 60 percent have the degree of candidate and doctor of science. 3850 students study at the institute. The university teaches specialists for such areas of the national economy as economics, energy, construction, transport, computer technology, technology for the production and processing of agricultural products, food technology, light industry technology. The Institute has all the material and technical means necessary for the training of qualified specialists.
The institute has more than 30 laboratories, 15 special and language laboratories, a demonstration apparatus connected to a parabolic antenna, 15 computer classes. There are over 900 modern computers connected to the Internet. The sports hall of the institute is considered the best in the region. The number of books in the four libraries is 70 thousand copies, 9100 titles (of which 3395 copies are in the digital library).
The university is a member of the International Association for the Exchange of Students in Technical (IAESTE) and Agricultural Practice, a member of the International Association of Universities, a member of the Executive Committee of the Federation of Special Universities of Islamic States. The Institute has long-term cooperation agreements with universities of the Russian Federation, which makes it possible to invite specialists and professors to give lectures. In turn, the teachers of the Institute got the opportunity to improve their skills in Russian universities.
