Annotation
It has been substantiated that dynamic processes of a regional and global nature require continuous and meaningful multilateral interaction of two states, both at the bilateral, and at the regional and global levels. As the analysis shows, Russia is interested, first of all, in the supply of high-quality agricultural products from Tajikistan, which is problematic given the backwardness of agricultural production, the remoteness of Tajikistan from Russia, and the predominance of the mountainous terrain of the country. It is substantiated that one of the priority areas of economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan is economic interaction at the level of individual regions. Currently, 70 regions of the Russian Federation are involved in economic relations with Tajikistan: Central, Siberian, Volga Federal Districts, the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg. It has been proved that bilateral relations are now at a new level of quality based on pragmatism, which is fundamental for both parties. Currently, Russia is one of the main trades and economic partners of Tajikistan. Cooperation is most essential and important in areas such as trade, industry, transport, energy and communications. The prospects for the activities of Russian companies in the market of Tajikistan are considered to be related to Russian investments in the economy of Tajikistan. Among the sectors of the economy that are attractive for investment in Tajikistan, one can name agriculture, hydropower, subsoil use, construction and production of building materials, light and food industries, transport, communications and tourism.
