The article deals with the problem of rising electricity prices for industrial consumers in Russia in connection with the established policy in the electricity market. High electricity tariffs significantly limit the economic development of the country, impede the expansion of industrial production of enterprises and negatively affect the economy as a whole. It is noted that in Russia a two-tier system has developed in the electricity and capacity market: the wholesale electricity and capacity market and the retail market, in which only electricity purchase and sale transactions are carried out. Methods for reducing payments for electricity are given, taking into account the characteristics of the enterprise. Among them, entering the wholesale electricity and capacity market, choosing the most optimal price category of a supplier of last resort, checking the tariff level of voltage when the consumer is technically connected to electric networks, developing distributed generation, which can help reduce tariffs by reducing the share of paying tariffs for services transmission and demand management for electricity. It is proposed to introduce changes in the architecture of the Russian energy system for the development of distributed generation, which can be a solution to the problem of reducing electricity tariffs for enterprises.
