FORMATION OF AN INTEGRAL INDICATOR FOR ASSESSING THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE REGIONAL ECONOMY

Annotation

 

  The paper presents an analysis of existing methods for assessing the sustainability of the development of a region. Transition to practical implementation of the sustainable development concept requires new approaches to the formation of an integral sustainability indicator, which requires a sound system of sustainability indicators. The author proposes to obtain an integral index on the basis of basic and chain coefficients. The article also provides a system of indicators of the stability of the system, substantiates the stages of the formation of an integral indicator, and in conclusion determines the threshold values for achieving the stability of the region. The proposed methodology for measuring the state of sustainability can be used to the implementation of the objectives and goals of the sustainability program at the regional and state levels.
