Annotation

 

  The article deals with the theoretical aspects of state regulation of innovative development of the regional economy. An attempt was made to define the essence of the concepts of “innovation”, “innovative economy”, “government regulation”. The purpose of this article is to define the essence of the above terms and to identify the foundations of state regulation of innovation activities at the regional level. The internal and external factors influencing the innovative development of the regional economy are considered. The essence of innovation, innovation economy and features of innovation economy are revealed. The goals of forming an innovation policy, the stages of management and formation of a regional innovation policy, the principles of formation of a regional innovation policy are determined. Organizational, economic, financial measures of state regulation of innovation activity at the regional level are revealed. In conclusion, it is noted that the competitiveness of any region and country as a whole is determined by the effectiveness of the development of the innovation system. Sustainable innovative development is possible only under the condition of comprehensive coordination on the part of the state of the activities of market entities. It should be focused on stimulating and supporting development and innovation processes. To do this, it is necessary to develop mechanisms for systemic regulation that clearly define the role of the state in innovation. The development of innovative potential and its direction towards the creation of a modern economy based on innovative development is a strategic task of the state.
